Meet the Motherlift Team

Motherlift is a collaboration of kin, biological or otherwise. We aim to provide educational resources and support for all things related to womanhood or “otherhood.” Here at MotherLift, we recognize that “motherhood” is an inherent quality and not a gendered identity. Everyone has mothering qualities, we aim to pair individuals with relevant and important information.

Macy Morrow

A doula, student, wife and mother of two boys. Motherlift is special to me because I suffered the unexpected during each of my pregnancies! My doula practice, and Motherlift itself was birthed through the ways I brought my kids into the world. Parenthood is one of the most transformative experiences of life, yet the journey leading up to it, and the process after are hardly spoken of in candor. Through aiding my doula clients I have found such reward in normalizing the unexpected, which frequently becomes the expected.

Morgan Myers

Morgan is a licensed therapist in Dallas, Texas. She works with postpartum women and mothers coming in for counseling because they’re burned out, frustrated or stuck in life. She founded Motherlift when she saw a need for drastically more support for moms. She wants to be a voice of wisdom and peace for moms as they move through all the identity shifts of motherhood.

She’s been married for ten years to a priest in the anglican church. She also has two wild girls, Eleanor and Rowan. In her free time she likes to garden, do creative projects and work with her hands.

Meg Schlabs

Although she studied business and graphic design, Meg always preferred hard work over the classroom. She was crafty for years before she moved into the world of graphic design, and now delights in creating beautiful things alongside her partner and clients. She hates to miss deadlines, so her favorite projects are the kind where everyone gets what they want, when they want it. She lives in downtown Charleston, SC with her husband Patrick and their three children.
